Corrections Policy
Gulf Radar corrects factual errors in published articles when source checks, official updates or editorial review show that a claim, date, attribution, number or context line needs revision.
Substantial corrections should be reflected in the visible article and in the structured
dateModified field. Articles should not be deleted and republished under new URLs to
create artificial freshness.
Updates
Updates are appropriate when new source-backed information materially changes the reader's understanding of a story. Minor style edits, formatting changes or metadata fixes should not be treated as new reporting.
Source Trail
Corrections should preserve or strengthen the source trail. When a correction depends on a new source, that source should be added to the article or timeline.
